EXTRA SOCKETS

Two thirds of UK households say they don't have enough sockets in their homes to keep up with the increasing number of everyday appliances we use today. On average twice as many sockets are needed today than 30 years ago.

Overloading circuits is dangerous.

C2C Electrical can extend or provide new circuits to cope with the evergrowing demand for more sockets.

Work is carried out from 1st and 2nd fix and all appropriate certification and notification will be taken care of.

FUSE BOX UPGRADES

The modern consumer unit or fuse board as it was previously known is at the heart of every domestic and commercial electrical installation. The sole purpose of the consumer unit is to distribute electricity, via various types of fuses, to circuits around your property. Due to modern regulations, the traditional fuse boards are being phased out and being replaced with today’s equivalent.
RCD’s (Residual Current Device) is potentially a life saving device. All modern consumer units will feature one of more RCD units. These are designed to help protect you from Electric Shock if a bare wire was touched or in more common occurrences, in the garden where you might damage a cable with the lawn mower.
Latest 18th Edition Consumer units incorporate an SPD (surge protection device ) and RCBO's ( MCB & RCD combined) to protect your sensitive electronic devices such as smart TV's and home PC's.
It is essential that any work carried out on your consumer unit is carried out by a qualified electrician. You must never attempt to replace or remove your fuse board unless you are certified and qualified to Part P regulations.
Upgrading your tired old fuse box to an up to date 18th Edition Amendment 3 Consumer unit will give you peace of mind with the latest protection devices.
A pre installation survey (EICR) will be carried out and once fitted appropriate certification and notification will be taken care of.

REWIRES

If your property has not been rewired for the last 25-30 years then it is likely due rewiring to bring it up to the latest and current standards. This not only gives you safety benefits but may make your home more economical too.
All wiring in your home should conform to Part P ( Electrical Safety ) of the Building Regulations to safely deal with increased loads.
Time expired or inadequate wiring could have serious implications such as risk of electric shock or fire.

LANDLORD CERTIFICATES & PERIODIC INSPECTIONS (EICR)

Every Landlord that rents out property in the UK are required by law to have their property Electrically Inspected and Certified. This should only be carried out by an accredited, competent person, such as a registered electrician. C2C Electrical can provide Periodic Electrical Inspection Certificates (EICR) for landlords for many years.

The purpose of the Landlord Certification is to reveal if any equipment or existing circuits are overloaded and safe. The Inspection will also determine if there is any potential electric shock risks and for hazards. Another main reason for Landlords required to have their properties Electrical Circuits and Equipment inspected is to ensure there is no defective electrical work or lack of adequate earthing and bonding.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report ( EICR) gives the customer a snapshot of their current installation and can identify any immediate or potential problems and any areas for improvement.
